Join us in a fun night of farmers market-inspired cooking, using featured ingredients of the summer season!

Here at AIM, we love the summer season. In the California heat, the earth offers up some of its most luscious produce – from the sweet and fragrant strawberries, to crispy shishito pepper, to many varieties of refreshing melons (and so much more). Walking through the market, we see the result of farmer’s year-round care and dedication, in the form of an abundance of fresh peached, collard greens, and zucchinis. We enjoy getting to know the fishers and ranchers who offer high quality proteins that are caught and raised through sustainable methods that reduce environmental impact and heal the planet. It’s a joy to get out and be alongside the producers who share these treasures with us (while wearing our masks!).  

What better way to appreciate this bounty than by cooking a great meal! In celebration of National Farmers Market Week, we invite you for a special weekend of cooking with AIM. Join us in a virtual cooking class with renowned local Chef Tony Adams, who will teach us how to make the most of our market's peak summer ingredients. We’ll send you a list of ingredients to find at the market, then join us for a live, virtual cooking demonstration where you can use those ingredients in real time alongside Chef Tony. With a special Q&A at the end!  

All proceeds will go to the Farmers Market Assistance Fund, assisting AIM programs that keep the farmers markets running and bring fresh produce to community members. When you shop at the market, you’ll also be directly supporting the stability of a marketplace where small- to mid-sized local and regional farmers can thrive. All that in
addition to cooking with your AIM community – what could be better?!  

Chef Tony cooks locally and in season, and he’s chosen two amazing recipes for us to learn together. Choose from either:  

1) Miso Glazed Salmon with Mushroom and Veggie Fried Rice  
2) Seared Steaks with Garlic Bread and Summertime Veggie Panzanella Salad 

Yum! We can’t wait to make these recipes.
