Thursday Marin Farmers Market

Location: Marin County Civic Center

Open year-round, rain or shine!

Also known as the “Chef’s Market,” the Thursday Marin Farmers Market is frequented by local restaurateurs and food producers looking to source their ingredients. But you don’t have to be a professional to enjoy its most popular goods: from hyper-local meats to specialty pastries and breads, this laid-back market is perfect for picking up groceries and grabbing a delicious lunch.

Situated next to the lagoon at the Marin Civic Center, the market is easily accessible by car (off the 101) or train (at the Marin Civic Center SMART station). There are ample biking and walking trails, plus plenty of space for picnicking—all with a scenic view of Mount Tamalpais.

Thursday Marin is AIM’s first farmers market, launched in 1983, has been a community favorite for over 40 years!

Reusable Foodware Pilot at Thursday Marin Farmers Market

AIM, Zero Waste Marin, and Sparkl Reusables are teaming up to pilot reusable foodware at the Thursday Marin Farmers Market. This pilot program aligns with the Marin County Reusable Foodware Ordinance and represents a significant step toward reducing single-use foodware waste. The program will reduce waste by replacing non-recyclable and non-compostable single-use items, such as paper coffee cups, with sustainable reusable alternatives.

You can participate by taking these simple steps:

  • Request reusable items – Order your food or beverage in a Sparkl Reusable container from participating vendors.

  • Return used items – Drop off the containers at designated collection stations throughout the market.

Participating food and beverage businesses in the pilot include: Kinoko, Rozmary Kitchen, Porchetta Toscana/Pibil, Mr. Dim Sum, Wanna’s Kitchen, La Esperanza Pupuseria, Zolo Coffee, & Myriad Coffee Roasters.
