Kitchen Table Advisors has put out a Request for Proposal for an agricultural land feasibility assessment.
Kitchen Table Advisors, in partnership with UCCE Marin County, has been awarded a FARE Grant through the County of Marin for the purposes of exploring row crop feasibility on existing ag land and an adjacent survey of identifying a pipeline of emerging BIPOC farm business owners, called: Finding Farmland, Finding Farmers. This project will entail a comprehensive feasibility study about the potential to encourage agricultural landowners in Marin County to lease farmland to BIPOC specialty crop farmers, with the long-term goals to ensure agricultural lands remain in production, and to increase the proportion of Marin County farmland that is stewarded by farmers of color who use organic, climate-friendly, and/or regenerative methods.
Project Budget: $70,000-$90,000
