Description:

Part-time creamery worker required for artisan, farmstead creamery located in West Marin, working Saturdays and Sundays with optional Friday shifts. We make award-winning goat, sheep and cow milk cheeses with milk sourced from our own small ruminants, as well as local Jersey cow milk. We try to create an inclusive, safe work environment while producing food for our local Bay Area foodshed. Pay is $20/hour, with inclusion of take-home cheese.  

Responsibilities will include packaging cheese, turning cheese in aging rooms, maintaining creamery sanitation, washing cheese moulds, racks and mats. Training will be provided, with solo shifts following. We are looking for someone with flexibility, an eagerness to learn and a willingness to ask questions. The position involves lifting, bending, squatting and standing for most of the shift on solid floors. Most of the work is repetitive and requires a lot of attention to detail.
