AIM is looking for local food enthusiasts interested in volunteering at our farmers markets. Opportunities abound and your energy will play a pivotal role in building vibrant local food communities.

We are looking for volunteer support in the following areas:

Help set up, manage, and take down Information Booth at your local market. Answer questions, sell merchandise, and promote AIM programs and events. (All Markets)


Do you want to be directly involved in our markets? Are you passionate about increasing food access? Do you want an engaging volunteer experience? Our Market Ambassadors are hands-on support staff who assist AIM staff and customers in creating a dynamic, positive, and welcoming market environment.

Did you know that our Diggin’ Education Program serves over 1,000 students every single year? We need the help of volunteers who are driven to educate youth and adults on the benefits of a local, seasonal food system. Our Education Assistants get out in the fresh air, helping AIM staff both Farm and Market tours. Get Involved!

Volunteer Requirements

  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Available to volunteer 5-9 hours a month June-September
  • Able to commit to scheduled volunteer times
  • Able to squat, bend, twist, lift and stand for long periods of time with break. Accomodations can be made
  • Work well with people – all volunteer positions work directly with the public, staff, and other volunteers
