We're strengthening local and regional food and agricultural systems. Join us on this exciting journey.
Exciting News from AIM
We're thrilled to unveil our new Five-Year Strategic Plan (2025-2029).
Our work in all directions supports a movement for a food and agricultural system that is regenerative, inclusive, and resilient. Together, we plan to expand the regional reach, awareness, integrity, and impact of farmers markets, agricultural education, and community programs to facilitate access to nutritious, local foods produced by local farmers and producers. Stay tuned as we shape the next chapter of AIM!
Champions for Farmers, Food Access, and Education
The Agricultural Institute of Marin operates 9 Bay Area Certified Farmers Markets, The Rollin’ Root mobile market, Diggin’ Education, Healthy Food Access, Small Business Support, and Climate-Smart Agriculture
We envision a responsible food and farming system that is environmentally beneficial, economically viable, and socially just.
AIM’s mission is to educate, inspire, and connect communities, farmers, and producers in order to create a healthy, Earth-friendly, equitable local and regional food and agricultural system.
What We Do
AIM serves 400+ farmers, food purveyors, and artisans from 44 of 58 California counties who participate in AIM’s nine certified farmers markets in Hayward, Newark, Oakland, Point Reyes, San Rafael, and San Francisco.
AIM provides hands-on agricultural education programs to thousands of children and adults, operates a farm audit program, runs a mobile market for older adults and underserved communities, curates a multi-farm produce box program, organizes a beginning farmers market incubator program, and operates CalFresh/EBT and Market Match services to create a healthier, equitable food system across the San Francisco Bay Area. AIM is engaged in state and local food policy work to make sure our actions benefit the land, the people who grow our food, and the health of all communities.
We bring fresh, local and seasonal food to the Bay Area across 9 Farmers Markets
AIM proudly supports over 430+ farmers, food purveyors, and artisans from 44 California counties who participate in our nine Certified Farmers Markets, attracting two million visitors annually across the San Francisco Bay Area.
