In 1971 Mark Pasternak purchased 65 acres in the heart of the 873 acre ranch known as the Devil’s Gulch Ranch. In 1980 Congress bought all but Mark’s ranch for the Golden Gate Recreation Area. Today he and his wife, Miriam raise rabbits, pigs and sheep. They have also added a vineyard.
