AIM greatly values the trust of our donors and partners. When we forge a new partnership or receive a contribution of any amount, we are thrilled to have engaged our community and grown the number of people and organizations actively committed to furthering our mission and expanding our impacts.
During AIM’s 35-year history, the organization has evolved from its primary focus on operating high-quality farmers markets in the Bay Area, to being fundamentally shaped by its educational mission. In 2007, AIM became a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization and made a shift to develop farmers market integrity, education and food access programs. While many AIM participants know us best for our award-winning certified farmers markets, we offer much more! Our farmers markets are an amazing place for education, community building, health promotion, and local economic support.
We could not be more pleased to have raised over $24,000 in the last months of 2018, between our Food, Farms and Art: Celebrating 35 Years of AIM fundraising event, donations made on #Giving Tuesday, and through End-of-the-Year Giving contributions. Many thanks to the Petit Teton Foundation, and an anonymous family foundation who supported AIM during our annual giving campaign. We also received generous donations from 100% of our board members, farmers market shoppers, market participants and community partners.
Food, Farms and Art inspired more than 30 year-end donations and drew 100 people to attend the anniversary celebration. Four amazing local artists participated in the event, sharing their talents with us – Marybeth Kampman, Karen Pavone, Eric Webster and Gary Yost, who donated 25-30% of the proceeds from their art sales that evening.
Thank you to our top-level sponsor, Bank of Marin, who has generously supported AIM’s mission for several years. This event wouldn’t have been possible without the many sponsors at every level, including the following local producers who made in-kind donations: Stepladder Creamery, Nicasio Valley Cheese Company, Tomales Farmstead Creamery, Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company, Sunnyland Farms, Schletewitz Farms, Twin Girls Farms, Rossotti Ranch, J & J Farms, Front Porch Farms, and Perfusion Vineyard.
Many thanks to all of our supporters, more recent and throughout 2018. We could not do it without you!
