Having grown up in Marin County, Liana has deep roots in the local community. She became involved with Marin’s agricultural community in 2007 when she and her husband opened an organic gelato shop. Building relationships with local farmers led to a development position with Marin Organic in 2012, when she sold the gelato business. Liana also managed Farm Field Studies at Marin Organic and assisted in transitioning the program to AIM. Liana is passionate about the sustainable food movement because of its importance to the health of individuals and the environment, and is excited to contribute to AIM’s mission. Prior to making gelato Liana worked in education in French and in the Arts. Liana has a B.A. in French Studies from Lewis and Clark College, Portland, OR and an M.A. in Art History from U.C. Davis.
