Mimi grew up outside DC in the suburbs of Maryland. Her mother always had a wonderful garden out back and would take all of her and her siblings camping throughout the summer. She attended the University of Maryland and received a degree in Environmental Science and Policy with a focus in Natural Resource Management. She interned with the National Park Service all over the country and helped build trails and lead campfire talks. After graduating, she moved west and got a job with the Marin Conservation Corps doing research on harbor seals. After moving to Boise, she realized she loved working with youth and became a camp director with the YMCA. After taking 2 months to travel India, she discovered a position open at AIM in the Farm Field Studies program taking youth to local farms and she knew this was the job for her.
