You can Support Healthy Local Food for all
Agricultural Institute of Marin (AIM) is a 501(c)3 on a mission – to educate the public about the nutritional and economic benefits of buying locally grown food directly from farmers, and to connect and support communities and agriculture.
To fulfill our mission, AIM develops and offers innovative food, farms and farmers market programs. Each initiative requires public support and the dedication of our partners to be successful. AIM relies on generous support from individuals, donors, foundations, government agencies, partners and communities to carry out this critical mission.
Because of people like you, we are able to improve the lives of more than 1,000,000 people per year in the Bay Area!

EDUCATE THE NEXT GENERATION
Through a trio of educational programs, youth ages K-12 directly experience and learn where food comes from, how it is grown, and who grows food near where they live, as well as which food and farms are at their local farmers’ market contributing to a healthier community. Students learn about how delicious, seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables improve their health, how farmers steward the land, and what it takes to produce food. Through these programs, participating youth gain a greater understanding of their own health, nutrition, the connection between local farmers and their own well-being.
By bringing farmers and communities together, at seven weekly certified farmers markets in Alameda, Marin and San Francisco Counties, AIM promotes healthy communities by improving access to healthy farm fresh and locally produced foods, such as seasonal fruits, vegetables, milk, cheeses, meats, bread, seafood and much more.
IMPROVE LOCAL FOOD ACCESS
Taking the farmers market on the road, using an innovative mobile food truck which addresses transportation, economic and social barriers to buying and consuming healthy farm fresh foods. Through a market on wheels, which currently serves seniors and plans to expand to serve other populations who struggle to eat healthy, AIM is improving the lives of underserved communities.
PROMOTE COMMUNITY FOOD SECURITY
Accepting, promoting and encouraging the use of federal nutrition benefits at all of our farmers markets and mobile farmers market means that members of our communities struggling with food insecurity can enjoy the healthy benefits of local farm fresh food when they use their benefits at one of AIM’s farmers markets.
Your tax-deductible donation to AIM contributes to a better quality of life in the Bay Area, to improving the health of individuals,
families and local communities, and to ensuring the future of food and farming in California.
