Bay Area chefs flock to the Farmers Market because of the beautiful array of our region’s delicious vegetables, fruits, dairy products, meats, and more. But also for the direct connections – with food and with farmers – that are only possible at the farmers market.
Chefs pull up into reserved “Chef’s Parking”, stop at the Information Tent to pick up a special “Chef’s Cart” and are able to smoothly and easily get their bulk shopping done. Chefs have been shopping at the the Marin Farmers Market since its inception in the early eighties, but 10 years ago AIM set out to recruit and encourage more through perks such as Chef Parking, and carts and dollies.
Over the years, the Thursday Marin Farmers Market has earned the nickname, the “Chef’s Market”. Many of the Bay Area’s
best chefs shop weekly at the Thursday Marin Farmers Market and consider it their favorite.
